For the first time ever, SNDI launches a Debate Championship for high-school students fully in English, aiming not only at enhancing Italian debaters’ language skills but also at the growth of the international dimension of Debate in Italy.

🌟 Take part to the first edition of the Italian Championship High School - English Edition🌟
For its high educational value, the national competition Campionato Italiano Giovanile di Debate received the patronage ha of the European Parliament and European Commission for two years in a row.
The format used in the competition is World Schools Debating.
Teams are made of 3-6 debaters, between 14 and 19 years old, and 1-2 adult coach (over 19 years old and not attending high school level education). At the time of the first debate of the Championship, only one member of the team can be 17 years old or older.
Participation in all editions of CIGD is reserved to persons associated to Società Nazionale Debate Italia for the current year. There is no registration fee for teams to participate in the competition.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 15 October 2024.
Every team should provide at least 1 judge.
A single School can register 1 team. Only if the 20 teams CAP is not reached, a second team from the same School will be accepted. Mixed teams made of debaters from different Schools don’t suffer limitations.
Schools may value their students’ participation as part of the Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento.
Società Nazionale Debate Italia will provide, at the end of the Championship, a certificate of attendance to each participant.

Anagraphic Data
The data you need to provide:
– Name;
– Surname;
– ID Number of SNDI membership card valid for year 2025
– Phone number;
– email address;
– School of belonging;
– For 1st Coach only, scan of own ID.
Collected data will be treated according to current privacy regulations.
Privacy Policy

Every member of the team have to sign the privacy policy waiver. For underage participants, parents or legal guardians will have to sign.
The signed scan of the waiver will have to be uploaded during the registration process.
The original printed copy will have to be kept by the coach and do not need to be sent to the Organization.
In lack of authorization for recording and using the person’s image for the purposes addressed by the Policy, the debater’s participation in the Competition could be limited by decision of the Organizing Committee.

By registering for the Championship, every debater commits to fully respect the Code of Conduct of the Association.
SNDI Membership
Participation in the CIGD is reserved to persons associated with Società Nazionale Debate Italia [SNDI] for the year 2025.
Membership fee for all members participating to the Championship is €25.
Clarification
The payment of the membership fee needs to precede the filling out of this registration form.
